Extended Day
We offer a childcare Breakfast Club to support working parents of children who currently attend John Ray Junior or John Ray Infant School.
The breakfast club is open from 7:30am and children will be offered breakfast consisting of cereal, toast, fruit and a drink of fruit juice, milk or water.
Entry to the breakfast club is via the white hall doors at the front of the junior school. You will need to enter via the double gate in Notley Road and head left towards the white hall doors. Pressing the doorbell on the white doors will notify a member of staff that you have arrived.
The breakfast club for both JRI and JRJ children will take place in the junior hall and a member of our staff takes the infant children directly to the Infants at 8:50am so that they are in time for registration. During their time at Breakfast Club, children will take part in activities such as arts and crafts, exercise, board games, singing and dancing.
The cost per session is £4.00 and bookings can be made on our booking system Bromcom which will allow you to book an individual session or blocks at a time. Bookings can be made in advance and all bookings must be made 48 hours before the space is required. Unfortunately, bookings are non refundable.

Extra Curriculum Clubs
We offer a number of after school clubs which run for a term. All places are booked through MCAS app and parents are given log on details once children have been admitted to the school.
At the start of each term, we publish a list of the clubs that are running and their associated cost.
Payments are needed in full to confirm a child’s space. There will be no refunds processed, regardless of reasons, so please ensure you are booking onto the correct club. Once you have successfully made payment your child’s place is secured. You will not receive any further confirmation.
Clubs change on a termly basis and parents will receive information on the clubs on offer via MCAS.
